A prominent children's healthcare provider in Liverpool seeks a trainee in Radiology for a 12-month position starting August 2026, with flexibility on the start date. Candidates should have completed at least 5 years of Specialist Registrar Training and be eligible for GMC registration. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside internationally recognised specialists and contribute to innovative research while providing highly specialised paediatric care.
The hospital has approximately 270 beds including day beds for surgery. The paediatric services and expertise within the hospital are considerable and include cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, audiology, nephrology, respiratory medicine, oncology, orthopaedics and trauma, rheumatology, endocrinology, general surgery and general medicine.
The post is open to trainees who will have completed at least 5 years of a Specialist Registrar Training Programme in Radiology by 1stAugust. UK trainees should have obtained CCT by the start date (or be within 3 years post-CCT). All candidates should be eligible for registration with the GMC. For International trainees it would be desirable to have FRCR qualification for entry to the programme. Equivalent qualifications or experience will only be considered if there are no suitable applicants with FRCR qualification. Post-CCT candidates must have proof of CCT.

The post will be primarily based at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. The post is available for a 12-month period, starting from August 2026, but the start date may be flexible for the successful candidate.
