A leading NHS healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated individual for a key role in improving patient experiences in the maternity department. The successful candidate will coordinate projects aimed at enhancing maternity services, engage meaningfully with the community, and evaluate patient feedback. This position offers the chance to contribute to vital healthcare initiatives that support families during their maternity journeys. Candidates should demonstrate strong coordination skills and a commitment to patient advocacy.
This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering patient experience initiatives within the maternity department. You will contribute to the development and implementation of projects and action plans designed to monitor, improve and enhance the experience of women and families using maternity services. The post holder will coordinate and track progress across all patient experience action plans, ensuring momentum is maintained and outcomes are clearly measured. Using established BHT feedback tools, you will evaluate patient experience data and produce insightful reports for the Women’s Directorate, supporting continuous learning and improvement. Close collaboration with Complaints, PALS, Patient Experience teams and other departments will be essential to bring together feedback from multiple sources and strengthen reporting and governance processes.
A strong focus of the role is meaningful engagement with the community, ensuring that information about care and services is accessible, inclusive and easy to understand. This will support service users to make informed choices and provide informed consent, including through close partnership working with translation and interpreting providers.
You will also work closely with the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP), helping to reach diverse community groups and ensuring that the voices and needs of all service users are heard, represented and reflected in the way maternity care is designed and delivered.
