Schools across Aylesbury and the surrounding areas are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to step into the classroom and support students across Key Stages 3 to 5. Whether you're looking to gain experience before moving into teaching or already have classroom experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference.
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and focused environment
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and maintain student engagement
- Support students with tasks and answer basic questions when needed
- Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom conduct in line with school policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student performance where necessary
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting (ideal but not essential)
- QTS is not required, but classroom experience is desirable
- Strong classroom presence and confident communication skills
- Flexible and comfortable working across various year groups and subjects
- A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- Able to provide a minimum of two years' employment references
