We’re working with a specialist SEND school in Sunderlandthat supports pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), complex needs, and sensory impairments. Their ethos centres on care, respect, and achievement, creating a truly nurturing and inclusive space for every learner.
They’re now looking for a skilled HLTA to support teaching and learning across the school, leading small-group sessions, supporting with planning and delivery, and working alongside a passionate team who believe in every child’s potential.
Leading planned learning activities and interventions across different key stages
Supporting pupils with complex needs using communication tools and sensory strategies
Assisting with EHCP targets and contributing to planning and assessment
Promoting an inclusive, respectful environment where all children can achieve
HLTA status or equivalent qualification
Experience working in specialist SEND settings (PMLD, SLD, complex needs)
Confidence leading learning and supporting pupils with personal care and mobility
A calm, respectful approach and a great sense of teamwork

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
