GSL Education are recruiting a committed Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in the S11 area of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged in their learning.

Key Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor (CS):

• Ensure a calm, safe, and focused classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Report back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and behaviour.

Requirements for Cover Supervisor (CS):

• Prior experience in an educational setting beneficial but not essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour confidently and professionally.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• A full 10-year career history with no unexplained gaps.
