Cover Supervisor

Are you confident, adaptable, and looking to gain classroom experience in a secondary school setting? A high-performing school in Solihull is seeking Cover Supervisors to join their team from September 2025. This is an ideal role for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced cover staff looking for flexible work.

Key Details

  • Position: Cover Supervisor (KS3 & KS4)
  • Location: Solihull
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Contract: Long-term and day-to-day options available
  • Pay: £500 – £750 per week (depending on assignment and experience)

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into classrooms across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher. You’ll be expected to manage behaviour, engage pupils in learning, and follow school policies and procedures. Assignments range from daily cover to ongoing roles depending on your availability and the school’s needs.

The Candidate
We’re looking for individuals who:
  • Have experience working with young people (in education, coaching, youth work or similar)
  • Are confident managing classroom behaviour and following routines
  • Can quickly build rapport with students and staff
  • Are reliable, organised, and proactive
  • Are available for full or part-time work from September role is particularly suited to those considering a career in teaching, offering invaluable in-school experience and insight into the profession.
