A fast-growing AI startup is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller for mainly remote work with occasional onsite requirements in New York. Ideal candidates are fully qualified accountants (CPA or equivalent) who are willing to engage in routine accounting tasks. Successful applicants will enjoy excellent pay, equity in the business, and the chance to work within a forward-thinking company. Must be available to start by February 2026.

Conoscenze
This is a unique opportunity to join an absolute gem in the AI space at what is a very exciting time for the business!
The company are a Series C startup, rapidly growing and they are going places.
You will need to be an ambitious and fully qualified accountant but, importantly, you will need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting “stuck in” to the more routine accounting tasks.
- Executing month-end close for multiple entities, as well as consolidation
- Actively reviewing and looking to improve financial controls
- Hands‑on involvement in Payables and Receivables
- Assisting with Audit
- To be a fully qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent)
- Experience of using Netsuite
- Extensive experience of US GAAP
- To be located on the East Coast of the United States as, while this is an almost entirely remote‑working role, you will occasionally be needed on‑site in New York for Audit purposes
- To be able to start a new role by Feb 2026 at the latest
- Excellent pay which will be reviewed with progress
