Job summary
A global supplier of food ingredients is looking for experienced Shipping & Logistics professionals to join their team in Central London. You will manage import/export activities, coordinate with freight forwarders, and negotiate shipping costs while ensuring high service levels for international clients. Candidates must have relevant experience and strong communication skills. Fluent English is essential, with additional languages preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience working in Shipping, Logistics or Freight Forwarding.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
- Process purchase orders using internal system.
- Arrange import and export of goods.
- Negotiate best prices for shipping products worldwide.
Skills
Our client, a global supplier of food ingredients is looking to hire experienced Shipping & Logistics professionals to be based in Central London, near Liverpool Street.
- Work closely with freight forwarders and shipping lines
- Process purchase orders using internal system
- Review import documentation
- Arrange import and export of goods
- Book deliveries to warehouses and to customers
- Negotiate best prices for shipping products worldwide
- Liaise with customers worldwide ensuring a high level of service is delivered
- Experience working in Shipping, Logistics or Freight Forwarding
- Knowledge of import and export procedures in the UK and EU
- Fluent English, additional language skills welcomed
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and IT skills
