Our pioneering conference Marketing team delivers market‑dominating events across the tech, marketing and finance industry. They bring together leading minds to share the latest trends, challenges and opportunities facing companies, the tactics and tools needed to drive results, and a forum to make meaningful connections.

Why join us?

At The Alliance, community is at the core of everything we do, so we know better than most that communities are diverse spaces with people from all walks of life. Ensuring that we reflect this in our team is essential to us.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our globally renowned events. Reporting to the Director of Event Operations, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of world‑class experiences, from global conferences and sponsored dinners to professional courses and bespoke client events.

This role will primarily involve supporting senior team members on larger events while taking ownership of some global conferences and other standalone projects. You’ll be part of a collaborative, fast‑paced environment where creativity, organisation, and teamwork are key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Assistance: Support the delivery of our diverse event portfolio, assisting with logistics such as venue selection, supplier coordination, and on‑site management to ensure smooth operations throughout.

  • Collaborative Event Support: Work closely with the operations, production, and sponsorship teams to help design and deliver engaging event experiences while optimising operational efficiency.

  • Research and Coordination: Conduct research on venues, suppliers, and production agencies, helping to develop our supplier network and assisting with contracts and approvals.

  • Event Execution: Support the delivery of global conferences, sponsored dinners, and bespoke events, assisting with venue coordination, F&B, branding, AV, and timing to ensure each event meets budgetary and quality standards.

  • Technical Support: Assist with managing online registration tools and event apps, ensuring technical aspects run smoothly and enhance attendee experience.

  • On‑Site Support: Provide hands‑on support during events, liaising with vendors, assisting with setup and breakdown, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to gain hands‑on experience in event management while contributing to the success of our globally recognised events. If you're detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to dive into the world of event coordination, we'd love to hear from you!

Please note that we expect you to be in the London office at least once a week for collaboration and coordination.

Kindly be aware that this role requires international travel, including visits to the US. Candidates must have eligibility to travel to the US, preferably under the ESTA visa program.

Requirements

If the below sounds like you - we’d love to hear from you:

  • Event delivery: experience supporting the delivery of conferences, networking events, or other professional gatherings, ideally within an international setting.

  • Creative problem‑solver: you’re adaptable, calm under pressure, and able to think on your feet to find smart solutions when challenges arise.

  • Highly organised and proactive: capable of managing multiple tasks at once, maintaining accuracy and professionalism in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Collaborative team player: confident working closely with others while taking ownership of your own workload.

  • Strong communicator: comfortable communicating with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and venues.

  • Flexible and reliable: happy to travel internationally and work occasional evenings in line with event schedules.

Core Benefits
  • Enhanced paid holiday: 34 days including UK Bank holidays (and a day off on your birthday!)

  • Private Medical & Dental

  • Life Insurance: (4 x salary)

  • Flexible hours policy allows you to structure your work for when you're most productive.

  • Perks‑at‑Work discount platform

  • Extensive tech gear kit

  • Company Socials

Wellbeing Benefits
  • On‑demand therapy, coaching & mental fitness via Oliva (12 paid sessions)

  • Heavily subsidised gym membership via Gympass

  • Cycle to work & Workplace Nursery schemes

  • Flexible Monthly Allowance via the ThanksBen platform (to spend on anything that makes you happy)

  • Learning & Development: Personal L&D budget (£500 annually in year 1 - scaling year on year up to £3000+)
