MIXING ROOM OPERATIVE
Job summary
A notable food production company is seeking a reliable full-time Mixing Room Operative to prepare high-quality meat mixes. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, following recipes, and ensuring safety procedures. The role offers 28 days holiday and free lunch. Experience in food production is a plus but training will be provided.

Skills
Heck Food Ltd are recruiting a reliable permanent full-time Mixing Room Operative to help in the preparation of high quality meat mixes in our Mixing Room at Heck Q, Kirklington, Bedale.
- To operate a clean and tidy mixing room
- Ensuring that all the mixes meet Heck Food recipe specification
- Ensuring all Heck Food procedures are followed
- All recipes must be followed
- All batch codes must be recorded accurately
- All batches must be labelled correctly
- Mixing room to be kept clean and tidy at all times
- All staff must be wearing the correct Colour of PPE to which product they are using
- All health and safety procedures must be followed when operating machinery or using knives
- Report all issues to your line manager
- To complete relevant paperwork & checks
- To keep segregation in place (meat and veg)
- Any damages to the equipment must be reported to manager
- Responsibility for the issued knives
- Strong communicator and have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own
- Previous food production experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
Essential:
- flexible and open to additional hours at busier periods of production
- Driving license
- Core hours working Monday to Friday, around 40 hours per week with the occasional Saturday working.
- 28 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays)
- Free lunch provided daily
- Free car parking
This is a very physically demanding role which requires a keen eye for detail to maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and hygiene.
