Overview

Heck Food Ltd are recruiting a reliable permanent full-time Mixing Room Operative to help in the preparation of high quality meat mixes in our Mixing Room at Heck Q, Kirklington, Bedale.

Responsibilities
  • To operate a clean and tidy mixing room
  • Ensuring that all the mixes meet Heck Food recipe specification
  • Ensuring all Heck Food procedures are followed
  • All recipes must be followed
  • All batch codes must be recorded accurately
  • All batches must be labelled correctly
  • Mixing room to be kept clean and tidy at all times
  • All staff must be wearing the correct Colour of PPE to which product they are using
  • All health and safety procedures must be followed when operating machinery or using knives
  • Report all issues to your line manager
  • To complete relevant paperwork & checks
  • To keep segregation in place (meat and veg)
  • Any damages to the equipment must be reported to manager
  • Responsibility for the issued knives
  • Strong communicator and have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own
Qualifications
  • Previous food production experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.

Essential:

  • flexible and open to additional hours at busier periods of production
  • Driving license
Hours, benefits and requirements
  • Core hours working Monday to Friday, around 40 hours per week with the occasional Saturday working.
  • 28 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays)
  • Free lunch provided daily
  • Free car parking

This is a very physically demanding role which requires a keen eye for detail to maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and hygiene.
