Senior Technical Reinsurance Accountant

Work Pattern: Full Time and Hybrid

MS AUL appointed a new CFO earlier in 2024, leading to changes in the Finance function aligned with strategic objectives, including reporting IFRS17 results and accelerating financial close in 2024 and 2025.

It's an exciting time to join the MS Amlin Finance team. We seek an accountant with strong insurance and accounting experience, energetic, eager to make a difference, and capable of building an efficient Finance function.

About The Job

Key responsibilities include ownership of all Outwards Reinsurance transactions, reconciliation and control of automated transactions, manual processing of non-standard contracts, intra-group reinsurance submissions, bad debt calculations, analysis and commentary on reinsurance results, and handling downstream reporting and external queries. Secondary responsibilities involve inwards insurance and reserving transactions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Accounting Qualifications
• Strong understanding of Insurance accounting
• Experience with Lloyd’s Market (preferred)
• Experience with Oracle general ledger (preferred)
• Strong controls and reconciliations experience
