Finance Assistant

Full time (35 hrs/wk), fixed term for six months

Based Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) with up to two days per week working from home

Salary range £26,000 to £28,000 pa plus benefits

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for someone to join our busy and fast-paced Finance team, supporting with a range of different processes. Day to day, you will primarily support the Accounts Payable function, but you will also need to support with and be involved in various other processes. These could be supporting with student/employer invoicing, checking purchase orders, and ensuring supplier accounts remain up to date. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to continue developing their skillset and experience in the finance sector.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function.
• Respond to day-to-day telephone, email, and Student Central enquiries, ensuring high-quality customer service throughout.
• Assist in administering employer sponsorship; be responsible for processing sponsorship agreements.

Our main requirements

• Experience in a similar role.
• Digital skills confidence: We use MS Office which includes Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and several other systems/technology.
• Strong communication skills; confidence when speaking on the telephone and professional email writing ability.
