Salary: £60,000 per annum (base salary)
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days Only
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to join our client's team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and effective transportation management. You will be responsible for leading the service function, overseeing operational activities, and ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Manage and coordinate daily operations across service and transport functions.
- Oversee the scheduling, routing, and efficiency of transportation and logistics.
- Lead, motivate, and support the service team to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure all equipment and assets are maintained in line with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and improve service delivery to meet customer expectations.
- Drive operational efficiency and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and optimise resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, legal, and environmental requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Previous experience as a Service Manager (preferably within the hire, plant, or equipment industry).
- Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service focus.
- Good understanding of compliance, H&S, and industry regulations.
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively.
- IT literate
