Qualifications

  • Recent experience in a similar role managing frontline teams providing grounds maintenance and cleaning.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads.
  • Basic user of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook or equivalent).
  • Valid UK driving licence; role involves driving on company business.

Overview

Estate Services Manager based in Basildon, joining a newly formed Estate Services team. You will cover different sites across the region and manage a team of approximately 8 Caretakers and 6 Grounds Operatives to deliver cleaning, caretaking and grounds maintenance services. A company van is provided and there are opportunities to develop your career within Sanctuary.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of services to Sanctuary stakeholders.
  • Ensure the team works effectively and safely.
  • Lead frontline grounds maintenance, cleaning and compliance activities.
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations.
  • Support, monitor and review performance of self and sub-contractors; Sanctuary Group encourages applications from diverse backgrounds to support an inclusive environment for employees and customers.

We work closely with the Home Office to prevent unlawful working. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary for successful applicants, which we will pay for. Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.
