Are you an experienced Power Electronics Engineer looking for your next opportunity to work on developing real products vital in key industries like automotive & automation?
My client is looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join their advanced R&D team, developing new products from concept to manufacture.
- Design of critical power components for new products & designs
- Design and develop analogue, digital, and electronic circuits and systems for power electronics
- Explore emerging technology in the field, innovating ways to incorporate that into designs and products
- Daily interaction with engineers from multiple disciplines to ensure solutions are a good fit with the drive architecture
- MEng or MSc in Power Electronics or related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in a commercial environment
- Proficiency with SPICE circuit simulation tools
- Strong understanding of thermal design, DFM, mechanics, and PCB layout
- Strong understanding of/experience with SMPS
- Charted Engineer status
- Ability to build prototypes, experimentation on systems and bench test
- Thermal, mechanical or EMC for motor drives
- £70k salary
