Company overview

Our client is a globally renowned, independent real estate and infrastructure consultancy with a strong presence across the UK, including several offices in Yorkshire. With consistent and sustained growth in recent years, they have secured major national programmes backed by significant investment - projects that are not only career-defining but also vital to the UK’s infrastructure and economy.

They work with a diverse portfolio of high-calibre private and public sector clients, delivering innovative solutions across real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources. Their reputation for excellence has positioned them as a trusted partner on some of the UK’s most significant and high-profile projects.

As a company, they are committed to delivering better outcomes for their clients, fostering professional growth for their employees, and driving positive social and environmental impact. Their inclusive, collaborative culture, extensive professional development opportunities, and investment in people make this an excellent place to build a rewarding and successful career.

They are currently seeking experienced Project Manager to Associate Director level project management professionals to join their established team and play a key role in delivering and leading one of the world’s largest and most complex advanced manufacturing and industry 4.0 programmes.

The opportunity

An industry-leading UK manufacturer is undergoing a once-in-a-generation transformation, and we’re seeking exceptional project management professionals to play a pivotal role in delivering this high-profile industrial investment.

Backed by significant funding and strategic national importance, this major redevelopment includes the construction of a state-of-the-art, highly automated machine shop - a facility set to redefine the future of advanced manufacturing in the defence, nuclear, and renewable energy sectors. This is a rare opportunity to drive a project that will strengthen the UK’s sovereign manufacturing capabilities and push the boundaries of engineering innovation.

This organisation is renowned for pioneering new technologies, with expertise in Electron Beam Welding, ultra-large castings and forgings, and the delivery of high-integrity components for mission-critical applications. Their work is central to offshore energy, the UK’s nuclear programme, and high-security defence projects, and this investment will secure their position at the forefront of global engineering.

As a project management professional, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading on the delivery of this complex, multi-phase industrial development. You’ll work alongside world-class engineers, cutting-edge technology specialists, and leading construction partners to bring this transformative facility to life - ensuring it is delivered on time, to specification, and with the highest standards of execution.

If you’re an ambitious Project Manager or an experienced project leader who thrives in high-profile, technically complex environments, this is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy on the UK’s industrial landscape.

Requirements

  • Strong project management experience with a technical background from the construction sector
  • Professional qualifications and memberships (MCIOB, MAPM etc)
  • Experience of NEC contracts
  • NEC accreditation or NEC project management experience preferred
  • Security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance
  • Experience leading large complex construction programmes
  • A technical construction background is a must-have
  • Able to work on own initiative with strong motivation skills
  • Strong communication skills with experience working in a client-focused environment
  • Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Commitment to working a minimum of 4 days on site (Monday to Thursday)

Our client wants their people to succeed both in work and life. To support this they promote a healthy, productive and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance. They are an equal-opportunity employer who celebrates diversity, are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and actively encourages applications from all parts of the community.
