Interim Commercial Payments Lawyer (Fully Remote)- £180k-£200k- Tech Company
Job summary
A leading tech company is seeking an experienced commercial payments lawyer to support global payment projects. The role involves advising on commercial and compliance issues while collaborating with internal teams. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in tech or related sectors and excellent negotiation skills. This is a fully remote position for an initial six-month period, with potential for a permanent role thereafter.
Qualifications
- Experience as a commercial payments lawyer, particularly in tech or digital sectors.
- Ability to structure and draft agreements effectively.
- Familiarity with compliance and data privacy laws.
Responsibilities
- Advise on commercial and compliance issues related to payments.
- Draft and negotiate agreements with partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams on product development.
- Build effective legal review processes for new features.
Skills
We are looking for an experienced commercial payments lawyer ( if you come from a social media, gaming, digital space this could be a great match ) who will be interested in joining a leading tech company this January. This will be for a six month duration to begin with (likely to be in contention for a permanent role after).
Additional responsibilities include :
- Advise on a range of issues including commercial, consumer protection, KYC, risk assessment / compliance and data privacy related to the payments businesses worldwide;
- Structure, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements with various partners;
- Actively collaborate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders, including product, engineering, compliance, marketing, business development, risk on a range of issues related to product development and commercialization of global payment projects and services;
- Help build scalable and effective processes for legal review and launch of new features and products;
