A major transport and infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Solution Architect for a private 5G upgrade programme. The role involves leading architectural design, collaborating with technical teams, and providing oversight. Strong experience in mobile technologies and excellent communication skills are required. This is a key opportunity for architects with telecoms expertise looking for an interim position.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solution Architect to join a major UK transport and infrastructure organisation on an interim basis. You will play a key role in supporting a large‑scale 5G upgrade programme, which has recently been divided into two streams: public and private. This role will focus specifically on the private 5G workstream, helping to shape and assure technical solutions that will underpin critical operational services.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience across mobile technologies and adjacent domains, with the ability to work closely with engineering, operations, and programme teams to guide the design, integration, and delivery of robust, scalable solutions. You will be comfortable operating in complex, high‑stakes environments and able to provide clear architectural leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
