Bid Coordinator / Bid Writer – Building / Construction - (Birmingham / Solihull / plus some REMOTE WORKING)

Company:

A growing regional building contractor with a longstanding history and a strong pipeline of work on predominately public sector building projects (Health, Education, Blue light etc) previous experience in these sectors would be ideal but not essential.

Whilst previous main contractor experience would be advantageous, also open to consider candidates transferring experience over from sub contractor or consultancies etc.

Location:

Mix of office (North Solihull - Near the NEC / Birmingham airport) and also some remote work (Likely 2 -3 days per week, plus flexible start / finish times)

Role:

Seeking a Bid Coordinator / Proposals Coordinator / Bid Writer, opportunity to play a key role working closely with the regional manager to help the company win more bids, as the sole Bid Coordinator / Writer for the region it’s an exciting opportunity to make the role your own and make a big contribution to the success of the region.

Mix of Bid Coordination and Bid Writing duties, whilst you do not need a long term track record as a bid writer, you must be up for the challenge, have good literacy / communication skills and be able to sit with technical teams to take down information verbally and convert it into well written content for the bid that is also more easy reading for the client.

Also, some experience with Indesign would be advantageous but not essential, training will be provided.

Duties:

As Bid Coordinator / Bid Writer your duties will include:

• To create professional and a high standard of quality documentation for tender submissions as part of the overall win work strategy
• Lead the writing and overall co-ordination of bid submissions
• Manage the delivery of the quality documentation for bid submissions in line with relevant tender deadlines
• Develop and write technical & non-technical quality responses
• Production and formatting of Expression of Interests, approved lists & PQQ’s
• Submit tender documents and add to the bid library
• Ensure capturing of feedback to achieve continuous improvement
• Monitor tender portals / shared mailboxes for new tender opportunities and communication around existing
• Keep an up-to-date record of case studies
• Keep and maintain the CRM software
• Work with the marketing team to develop marketing collateral and other administration duties as required.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Bid Coordinator / Writer vacancy you will likely have the following attributes:

- You Strive for High Quality and take pride in your work.
- Previous employment as a Bid Writer, Bid Manager, Proposals Manager, Proposals Engineer, Submissions Manager, Tender Writer, Bid Author or Bid Coordinator.
- Ideally Previous Main Contractor employment, alternatively candidates with previous employer with Subcontractors and Consultancies will also be considered.

- Ideally previously work on building / construction projects but not essential, so open to consider candidates from other similar sectors such as housing / residential or highways / civils sector experience will also be considered.

- Excellent English language (vocabulary), grammar and communication skills

- Familiarity with Microsoft and other desktop publishing software packages
