Overview

My well established construction company with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects across the multiple industry sectors, mainly with a Government focus is urgently recruiting an experienced Bid Writer to join our dynamic pre-construction team.

Role Overview

As a Bid Writer, you will play a key role in producing high-quality, persuasive tender submissions that clearly articulate my Clients value proposition, demonstrate compliance, and showcase their experience. You'll collaborate closely with estimators, planners, business development, and project teams to craft compelling content that helps us win work in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write, edit, and coordinate high-quality bid responses for PQQs, ITTs, and RFPs.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, client-focused content.
  • Tailor responses to meet specific client requirements and scoring criteria.
  • Manage bid timelines and ensure submissions are completed on time.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to gather input and develop winning narratives.
  • Maintain and develop a library of standard responses, case studies, CVs, and other supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the bid process and content quality.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Bid Writer in the construction industry (essential).
  • Strong understanding of construction terminology, project delivery methods, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
