Job summary
A leading sub-contractor in civil and construction is seeking a Site Engineer for an 18-month contract in Braintree, England. The role requires managing engineering tasks, including the setting out for drainage and roads on a residential housing scheme. Candidates should have a background in Civil Engineering and experience with ground works. Responsibilities include site setup, health and safety compliance, and managing QA processes. Qualifications
- Experience working with ground works and residential projects.
- Desirable to have SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering aspects of the residential housing project.
- Oversee site set up and ensure health and safety compliance.
- Complete setting out related to drainage and roads.

Education
My client is a leading sub-contractor in the civil's and construction sector. We are currently recruiting a Site Engineer to complete a 18 month contract. You will be required to manage the engineering, including the setting out of the drainage, roads and small on a residential housing scheme
- Reporting and working with the Project Manager and foreman.
- Managing QA and complete AS built Surveys.
- Site set up and compliance with health and safety
- Completing all setting out associated to the housing project, including drainage, roads and small RC frame
- Raising technical queries on design issues.
· SMSTS or SSSTS – Desirable, not essential.
· Previous experience working with ground works, residential background and landscaping.
· Degree in Civil Engineering or Time Served.
