Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an in-house legal counsel for a major infrastructure project in Birmingham. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice on commercial and construction matters, manage legal risks, and support client relationships. Required qualifications include being a UK Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in contract law. This role offers a hybrid working model, with three days in the office each week and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in contract law and/or procurement law.
  • Recent and relevant commercial legal experience in UK construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to manage external legal advice within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality legal support and advice on commercial/contracts law.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and manage risk.
  • Assist with contractual claims resolution and manage external legal support.
