- Program, set, and operate CNC lathes to produce precision-engineered components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Conduct first-off inspections and ensure parts meet strict quality standards.
- Adjust tooling, speeds, and feeds to achieve the desired finish and tolerances.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
- Uphold health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the workshop.
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc, Mazak, Siemens, or similar).
- Ability to read and work from complex engineering drawings.
- Background in precision engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Apprenticeship or vocational qualification in CNC machining or mechanical engineering is desirable.
