Responsibilities
- Take ownership of divisional P&L and collaborate with leadership.
- Design commercial strategies to expand revenue streams.
- Lead commercialization of products ensuring profitability.
Skills
- Take full ownership of divisional P&L, collaborating the senior leadership to deliver consistent revenue growth and robust margins.
- Design and implement commercial strategies to expand the existing stable, recurring revenue streams, especially in mandatory training, licensing, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and nurture relationships with key partners, customers, and sector stakeholders, securing multi-year agreements and collaborative growth opportunities.
- Lead the commercialisation of new and existing products, ensuring pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies maximise profitability and market share.
- Align marketing, operations, qualification portfolio, and business development into a unified revenue engine with clear KPIs and transparent reporting.
- Identify and deliver innovative business models (e.g., managed service, subscription, licensing, frameworks) to diversify and secure long-term income streams.
- Provide regular reporting on commercial performance, opportunities, and risks.
- Mentor and support the senior leadership team, embedding a high-performance, results-driven culture.
- A proven track record in senior commercial leadership within B2B services, ideally in training, education, or skills development.
- A solid financial acumen, with detailed experience in P&L management, budget forecasting, and margin optimisation along with the ability to interpret and challenge financial information to make data driven decisions.
- Demonstrated success in building strategic partnerships and securing multi-year revenue agreements.
- Experience scaling subscription, licensing, managed services, or framework-driven commercial models.
- Familiarity with grant-funded programmes such as CITB is desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels, including board and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, and results-driven, with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to growth and optimisation.
