• Degree level educated in Biomed or related field.
• Active CPD portfolio within the field.
• Experience in Change Management.
• Experience using Document control software.
• Experience within supporting a quality management system - ISO 9001, ISO 15189.
• Experience in performing various types of audits.
• Knowledge and understanding of Blood sciences.
• Experience in assay validation/verification and pre-acceptance testing.
• Experience of writing and reviewing SOPS.
• Proactive approach to tasks.
• Able to use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of the QMS with ISO standards.
• Deputise for the Deputy Quality Manager when required.
• Train laboratory staff in health and safety and auditing techniques.
• Organise annual temperature monitoring and pipette calibration services.
• Ensure equipment records are maintained.
• Support quality team for internal and external audits.
• Keep quality documentation up to date.
• Monitor non-conformities and escalate when necessary.
• Assist in organising monthly meetings.
• Coordinate with training coordinators for laboratory management.
