Technology provides the tools and services to enable our Investment teams to deliver innovative, high quality, secure, cost effective and scalable solutions and services to our clients. Most of the applications are built in-house allowing adaption quickly to business needs and to differentiate our capabilities in the industry. The team provision technology services including cloud, on-premises data centres, networks, databases and desktops required for the business to function on a day-to-day basis in terms of performance and reliability, with key issues and risks all evidenced by measurable performance and risk indicators. The user-facing services include IT Helpdesk and desktop (end user computing) services and business application support.

Position Description

We are looking for a talented Junior Salesforce Developer to join us and help build and support Salesforce applications and customisations.

Role Responsibilities

• Build and support Salesforce applications and customisations
• Configure and develop custom objects / apps using Salesforce.com
• Facilitate the testing and release of software solutions and the handover of systems to support
• Provide technical guidance to IT colleagues and IT support
• Work closely with the senior developer to complete development tasks towards the sprint goal
• Understand the Salesforce code base and provide 2nd line support to the user community
• Work with business users, business analysts and IT project managers to understand business requirements and deliver them
• Work with IT colleagues to design software solutions to address these requirements within the context of the Insight systems architecture and current tool set
• Develop and implement high quality software to implement the design within the agreed scope, time and budget constraints of the project, and in accordance with the Insight standards, procedures and guidelines

Experience Required

• Good knowledge of Salesforce CRM
• Apex programming experience
• Aptitude for learning, reviewing and introducing new features
• Integrated development experience – Ideally Salesforce DX, Visual Studio / Visual Code
• Software development experience in a commercial environment with exposure to all phases of the software development including change management processes, methods, controls and standards.
• Configure and develop custom objects / apps using Salesforce.com
• Create and maintain workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on internal stakeholder requirements, using Flow and Process builder in particular
• Data manipulation and data load preparation in Salesforce
• Ability to communicate through all levels of the project line
• Being able to work with incomplete information when determining business solutions taking into account relevant dependencies, timing and constraints
• Experience of development. Ability to follow Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• An intellectual and proactive problem solver with a sense of personal responsibility and the ability to own and manage complex deliverables, problems and issues through to resolution and delivery
• Close attention to detail, with a keen curiosity and ability to ask questions to build understanding in order to solve complex problems
• A resilient and adaptable attitude to support an agile approach in a risk averse, regulated and closely managed development environment
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and management experience with the ability to effectively communicate at a level and depth appropriate to the audience
