A reputable company in the HGV industry is seeking an HGV Technician for a rotating shift role in Hull. Responsibilities include thorough vehicle inspections, fault finding, and general servicing. Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with O license requirements.
- Carry out any repairs required highlighted in the inspection.
- General servicing and MOT preparation.
- Fault finding and diagnostics.
- Updating all required paperwork and databases.
Skills
Education
HGV Technician – rotating shift role based in Hull. Contract Type: Full time / Permanent. Financial Package: £44,000 to £46,000 Per Annum. Working Hours: Week 1 = 7:00am - 16:30pm; Week 2 = 11:00am - 20:30pm (Saturday Morning 7:00am to 12:00 midday £25ph).
- Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the O license requirements
- Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
- General Servicing and MOT preparation
- Fault finding & diagnostics
- Updating all required paperwork / databases
- Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
- Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
- A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage but isn’t essential
- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair
- Ongoing training and development on new and emerging technology
