Qualifications

  • Have detailed knowledge of Truck & Trailer Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with O license requirements.
  • Carry out any repairs required highlighted in the inspection.
  • General servicing and MOT preparation.
  • Fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Updating all required paperwork and databases.

Job description
Overview

HGV Technician – rotating shift role based in Hull. Contract Type: Full time / Permanent. Financial Package: £44,000 to £46,000 Per Annum. Working Hours: Week 1 = 7:00am - 16:30pm; Week 2 = 11:00am - 20:30pm (Saturday Morning 7:00am to 12:00 midday £25ph).

Responsibilities
  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the O license requirements
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
  • General Servicing and MOT preparation
  • Fault finding & diagnostics
  • Updating all required paperwork / databases
Qualifications
  • Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
  • A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage but isn’t essential
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair
