Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair and maintenance is required.
  • Experience in conducting diagnostic and service repairs.

  • Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance services.
  • Diagnose and plan repairs for vehicles.
  • Maintain records of repaired vehicles.
  • Complete relevant documentation and warranty claims.

  • Complete customer documentation to agreed timelines.

Overview

Vehicle Technician — £36,000 – £40,000 pa DOE. 40 hours, 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday; 1 in 4 Saturdays (paid at time and half). Permanent position. 28 days holidays. Overtime paid at time and half over 40 hours.

Responsibilities
  • Performing major and minor repairs to vans and cars
  • Regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services
  • Diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles
  • Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired
  • Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting
  • Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales
The ideal Vehicle Technician will have the following
  • Qualification – You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair and maintenance, with experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs
