Location: Oxford

Package: £30,000 - £40,000 plus Car Allowance

Skilled Careers are pleased to announce we have been selected to search for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a rapidly growing and very profitable Main Contractor.

Due to an impressive amount of work winning and growth, my client has an exciting opportunity within the Commercial Team.

The Company:

They are one of Europe's fastest growing Main Contractors who are turning over £500m a year. They have seen a huge amount of growth this year while achieving amazing profit margins year after year. They currently have multiple live projects across the UK with values ranging from £20m up to £200m.

The Opportunity:

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be working on a £20m+ Commercial New Build/ Life Science Fit-Out Project in Oxford. You will be working as part of a strong commercial team, while reporting into the commercially leading Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work beneath a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a £20m+ Commercial New Build/ Life Science Fit-Out Project in Oxford.
• Develop and encourage project team performance, ensuring that main contractual obligations and strategies are executed and regularly reviewed.
• Help the commercial team deliver the project from early procurement until completion on site later down the line.

Candidate Description:

• Must have 1+ years experience in quantity surveying (main contractor experience is ideal).
• Able to work under pressure.
• Commercial experience is essential.
• Industrial/ Leisure/ Data Centres or Life Science experience is ideal.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Commercial Management is ideal.
• Strong communication skills, confident in report writing and actively engaging in meetings.

The role is site-based.
