An outstanding independent specialist school is seeking a skilled and passionate Music Teacher to join their team in a nurturing, small-school environment. This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students who benefit from therapeutic and personalised education.
The Role
You will teach engaging and inclusive music lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, including GCSE and A-Level. Your lessons will support both academic progress and student confidence, while fostering a love of language and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, adaptive lessons that promote strong outcomes
Develop a curriculum that is both rigorous and inspiring
Track student progress and provide feedback through regular assessment
Build positive relationships with students, families, and the wider staff team
Contribute to trips and activities that enrich the curriculum
Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and wellbeing standards across the school
Who We're Looking For
A degree in a relevant subject and QTS
Proven ability to raise attainment, particularly with students requiring additional support
Experience planning and teaching secondary music
Excellent behaviour management and adaptable teaching strategies
Strong communication, resilience, and a commitment to continuous development
