Stress Engineers – Gas Turbines (Outside of IR35) – Certain Advantage is hiring for Stress Engineers – Gas Turbines based in the Derby area. This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.
We’re working with an engineering company specialising in solving complex engineering challenges across industries—from aerospace and automotive to healthcare and semiconductors.
This role is for a Stress Engineer-Gas Turbines—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Stress analysis on development projects
- Compliance with aerospace industry standards
- Contribution to innovating in New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes
We’re looking for people who can show:
- Stress and Lifting (fatigue, damage tolerance/ fracture mechanics).
- Rotor dynamics
- Development rig analysis and integration.
- Preparation and review of certification reports.
- Performing design calculation
- Hourly rate circa £50 (Outside of IR35)
- Training and Development
- Career progression
