A lovely family based in Welwyn Garden City are seeking an experienced, trustworthy, and proactive housekeeper to support the smooth running of their home. The household consists of a professional lady and her two young children, including a new-born and a five-year-old. The family are seeking someone with a pleasant and enthusiastic disposition, who can work independently, take initiative, and be an integral part of the family’s routine.

Welwyn Garden City is a charming and well-planned town in Hertfordshire, known for its picturesque green spaces, excellent local amenities, and strong sense of community. Just 25 minutes by train from central London, it offers an ideal balance between tranquil suburban living and convenient access to the capital. The area boasts a variety of independent shops, reputable schools, and scenic walking routes, making it a desirable location for families and professionals alike.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and reliable live-out housekeeper who can maintain a high standard of cleanliness, manage laundry and ironing, prepare simple family meals, and carry out occasional babysitting for the older child. The successful candidate will be warm and self-sufficient, with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage their time effectively. The role also includes local grocery shopping and keeping the home well-stocked and organised. Knowledge of Greek is a bonus, but not essential.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:

• Full housekeeping of a family home, maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout.
• Daily laundry and ironing, including care of delicate clothing and bed linen.
• Cooking light meals for the family, ensuring freshness and nutritional balance.
• Grocery shopping and ensuring household supplies are maintained.
• Occasional babysitting of the older child only, if required.
• Working independently and showing initiative in managing daily routines.

Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:

• Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
• Two excellent checkable references
• Conversational English
• UK working permit
