Our client, an award winning global agency, is looking to make an entry level hire to join their growing Capital Markets team here in London supporting across a client base that spans the USA, the Middle East and APAC. As this is an entry level role, there is no requirement for any prior comms experience, but an interest in financial markets and current affairs is essential.

As a multi award-winning full service communications agency our client supports some of the UKs most high profile clients across a multitude of industries including Financial Services, Technology and Venture Capital, Professional Services, Sustainability, and Energy, Renewables and Industrial.

Our client has tripled in size and revenue over the last 5 years and is looking to double again over the next 2 or 3 years, so this is an incredibly exciting time to join. The business is widely recognised both for the quality of its work and contribution to the industry, but also as an employer, winning multiple culture and employer accolades.

Role

• Supporting account teams in pitching stories to journalists (via phone, email, or LinkedIn)
• Building relationships directly with clients
• Assisting with copywriting, including social posts, press releases, blogs, and op-eds
• Supporting on briefing calls with spokespeople and client meetings, suggesting potential angles and questions
• Developing your own media contacts
• Managing account administration—news monitoring, monthly reports, and updating press lists
• Contributing to client campaign ideas, staying up-to-date on relevant news
• Assisting the team with new business pitches, research, and proposals
• Conducting research for creative campaign ideas, competitor analysis, and industry trends

Requirements

• You’re eager to build a career in media relations, with a focus on financial markets
• You have a strong interest in financial markets, investing, and current affairs
• You’re passionate about writing and developing your copywriting skills—whether it’s a press release, blog, social post, or ghostwritten opinion piece
• You’re comfortable building relationships with journalists, both over the phone and via email
