The role
Our newManagementAccountantwill be keyinsupporting the Head of Finance andwiderFinance Team, playing a pivotal role in providing support to managedaily operations andmonth-end activitiesofthe business and to ensure accurate and timely financial reports are delivered to the Senior Management team.
Their primary role is to managekey areas ofthe financial systems and processes to ensure financial information is timely, accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting requirements and company expectations.
Key Deliverables :
- Monthly Reporting;
- End-to-end ownership and accountability for the month end process with preparation of full suite of monthly financial Reports inclusive of P&L, Balance sheet, CashFlow and Control accounts. Full Summary of Analysis of Assets under management and customer profiles is also required within Reporting Pack.
- Ability to present Month End performance to Senior Leadership Team.
- Initiate and support the development of new processes to ensure financial performance is relayed efficiently and succinctly to the wider business.
- Timely submission statements to Group Reporting Team.
- Accounts Management
- Lead Accounts Assistant and review transactional entries.
- Reconcile and analyse financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure appropriate accounting treatment of journal entry and summary each month end inclusive of Accurals, Intercompany, Tax and payroll journals.
- Preparation of accounting data for timely FCA regulatory submissions.
- VAT & Payroll
- Quarterly preparation of VAT returns.
- Work closely with Employee Experience team throughout each month to prepare and execute payroll each month.
- Complete monthly payroll reconciliation and post journals, maintaining HMRC compliance and advising on P11d impact / rules.
- Reconcile and populate total headcount per department and report to Head of Finance to highlight variances to forecast. Report variances to Finance Business partner to ensure planned recruitment is captured in forecast.
- Payments
- Review of payments to both Suppliers and Customers and regular liaison with the Customer Care Team toresolve queries from clients on a timely basis.
- External Audit reporting
- Facilitating the external audit process by addressing auditor queries and providing necessary information.
- Ad hoc
- Finance projects, including expense reporting, tax matters (including R&D tax submissions) any other ad-hoc reporting requirements.

- Financial or Management Accountant with experience in managing the month-end process, including balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L reporting.
- Fullyqualified(ACCA / ICAEW / CIMA / ACA)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritisedeliverables.
- Proactive stakeholder management skills
- Highly numerate and good commercial knowledge / awareness
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prioritisation capabilities against concurrent deadlines

- Excellent systems skills, Wealthify systems; (PowerBi, Excel, Anaplan, Sage)
- Payroll experience, ideally within Xero.
