Job description

Overview

The Best Connection is working with our client who are a local company in Peterlee manufacturing for clients throughout the UK. Due to increased workload they now have a requirement for a Machine Operator to join their busy team.

Responsibilities

• Operating a calibrating machine using lifting equipment to move products on and off
• Use of basic hand tools
• Some manual handling
• Basic and routine maintenance
• General housekeeping and keeping production area clean and tidy

Hours

• Monday – Thursday
• 6.30 am – 4.00 pm
• Friday is not worked unless as overtime, which is paid at time and a half

Pay

• Basic: £12.50 per hour increasing to £13.36 per hour after 12 weeks
• Overtime: £18.75 per hour, increasing to £20.04 after 12 weeks

Contract

The role is being offered on a temp to permanent basis for the right candidate.

Additional Information

This is an excellent opportunity to join an increasing team. Training will be provided on other machines within the factory; however, previous experience of running a machine is required.
