Work environment: Carbon nanotubes (CNT) are one-dimensional crystals with high aspect ratio, various chiralities, and notable electronic and optical properties. The main challenge is controlling their structure during growth, which involves catalyst-assisted CVD processes using metal nanoparticles. Defects and amorphous carbon clusters also pose challenges for quantum applications.
Main mission: Develop novel CVD growth methods with high selectivity, low defect density, and contamination, using local electric fields and methane-based gases for quantum device integration.
Activities: Develop metrology protocols via optical spectroscopy and electron microscopy; validate results through electronic transport signatures at room and cryogenic temperatures; collaborate with researchers and engineers at Charles Coulomb laboratory and C12 company.

Salary: €2,200/month
Contract duration: 3 years, from 01/10/2025 to 30/09/2028
