A leading company in medical market research seeks a bilingual professional fluent in English and Chinese for a full-time role. The incumbent will be responsible for revising and checking translations of medical research materials, ensuring quality and cultural sensitivity while meeting deadlines. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and familiarity with translation tools, particularly SDL Trados.
Bilingual revision and quality checking of English medical market-research materials translated into Chinese
Qualifications :
Native proficiency in Chinese (Simplified and / or Traditional).
Excellent command of written and spoken English is crucial.
Accurately render the ideas of the source text into the target language so that the text reads as though it were written in the target language.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and market research methodologies is in medicine is not required but would be an advantage.
Proven experience (at least 2 years) in medical and / or market research translation.
Ability to review and edit translations for accuracy fluency and clarity.
Awareness of cultural differences and the ability to adapt language accordingly.
Experience with CAT tools and possession of a licence ideally preferably SDL Trados.
Ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers and raise queries when in doubt.
Ability to manage your own schedule and meet deadlines.
