Comptable Assistant jobs in France

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general or tax accounting
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards and French laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of SAP, with experience in ERP and digital tool implementation and process analysis
• Fluent in Italian, English, and French
• Domicile near the company headquarters

• Monitor day‑to‑day financial operations within the company
• Oversee automated processes for sales, purchases, AR, AP
• Manage non‑trade accounts payables and prime entries
• Prepare financial reports, lead the month‑end closing process and perform monthly reconciliations
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in accordance with French and US GAAP
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and recording transactions
• Manage cash flow, reporting, and support payment preparation
• Liaise with tax authorities for audits and special requests
• Maintain and review financial records, including the Fixed Assets Ledger
• Ensure compliance with French accounting standards, tax laws, and reporting deadlines
• Perform intercompany and bank reconciliations
• Manage general accounting and VAT returns in collaboration with local tax and legal consultants, ensuring accurate VAT and taxable income calculations, VAT reports, Journal Book, and other government filings
• Collaborate with auditors to resolve accounting issues promptly
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of accounting and finance practices
• Analyze new transactions and document appropriate accounting treatments under French and US GAAP
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
• Support ad hoc projects
• Contribute to the enhancement of accounting tools and processes

Availability: immediate.

Workplace: Northern area near Milan (MI).

Indicative allocation and salary: Full‑time, to be defined in relation to candidate's abilities and experience.
