The WatchGuard IT software development team is a fast paced and innovative team that deploys mission-critical, leading technologies for our award-winning security appliances as well as our internal and external customers and device services worldwide. We are seeking a passionate and creative Web Developer who can lead and deliver unique web experiences for our global partners and customer sites. The candidate will have deep experience in web development functions including design, development, testing, content management, and site maintenance. This is an opportunity to influence the front and back-end web experience and create a world class communications hub for our user base. The Web Developer will also be a main contributor to our internal collaboration site.

• Use cutting-edge web front and back-end technologies to create high-performance, captivating user experiences
• Work cross-functionally to plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements
• Develop and optimize UI functionality to ensure web applications are rendered consistently in cross-browser environment
• Collaborate with developers to define the information architecture, build customer features, optimize our web experience, and establish and implement best practices and standards for all presentation layer developments
• Work closely with Marketing to design workflows and pages, test ideas, and gather / understand their requirements
• Develop functional prototypes from wireframes and mockups as well as document the implementation
• Research and recommend new technology to enhance user experience

• 5+ years of experience in web application development with minimum 3+ years of experience in Drupal application development
• 5 years of experience in HTML / XHTML / CSS / XML, JavaScript / DOM / AJAX / JQuery / JSON
• 3 years of experience PHP, MySQL, ASPX, ASP
• Proven experience in key server-side web development concepts such as :
• Integrating data or user accounts between multiple systems for a client
• Integrating multiple databases and / or database types into one system
• Implementing or working with a template driven system with a clear separation between content and display / comment
• Creating multilingual websites or applications
• Experience with user experience design principles and processes
• Experience with page speed optimization and knowledge of A / B testing frameworks
• Strong knowledge of SEO principles
• Experience integrating social media tools and platforms

• Shell, SQL, Windows, Linux, Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with developing secure web site
• Knowledge of web application security
• Must be able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization
• Experience using Git or other source controls
• Experience with Salesforce integration and VisualForce development a plus
• Experience with SharePoint designer a plus
• Experience administering hosted websites with Acquia
