Accounting Expert / Senior Accountant
Job summary
A leading accounting firm in Madrid is looking for an experienced accountant to handle general accounting and compliance with Spanish GAAP. Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, trade receivables management, and oversight of tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of auditing experience, preferably from a Big Four firm, and advanced English proficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in Auditing, ideally from a Big Four firm.
- Advanced English proficiency required.
Responsibilities
- Handle general accounting and monthly closings as per Spanish GAAP.
- Monitor bank reconciliations and collections.
- Manage supplier payments and oversee tax compliance.
- Review PL and BS analysis.

- General accounting, monthly closings – Spanish GAAP (PGC)
- Bank reconciliations
- Trade receivables, collections, and bad debt monitoring
- Supplier and payments monitoring
- Taxes (VAT, PIT, CIT, etc)
- Group investment (equity) accounting knowledge
- PL and BS review analysis
- Financial statements and relationship with Auditors
- Min 3 years in Auditing (B4 desirable)
- Advance English
- Consolidation of Financial Statements knowledge
- Expert accountant with experience in accounting of Holdings and merges.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 F&O
- Big Four experience
