The Business Data Analyst at Auctane will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position focuses on uncovering insights that inform business development, customer experience, and go-to-market initiatives. Working closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Strategy teams, the candidate will develop robust reporting, identify growth opportunities, and support data-informed decision-making across the organization. The role will contribute to scaling Auctane’s analytics capabilities and enhance the overall data ecosystem through collaboration and the delivery of high-impact solutions.

The Analytics team supports key business decision making through the delivery of actionable insights based on accurate data to stakeholders across the Auctane e-commerce products. These responsibilities are delivered through close collaboration with internal teams, working on the definition & refinement of KPIs, setting goals against these KPIs, measuring performance against these goals, and recommending (and when applicable, implementing) actions to drive improved performance. The Analytics team also leads the delivery of both standardized & ad-hoc reporting, analysis & insights to support business decisions.

1. Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions while ensuring alignment and effective communication.
2. Generate actionable insights to support strategic initiatives and daily operational execution.
3. Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting systems and dashboards, including tactical, strategic, and executive-level views that inform decision-making across Auctane brands.
4. Develop and maintain KPI reporting for core business areas such as Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
5. Define, implement, and manage key data feeds from internal systems and external partners to support accurate business performance measurement.
6. Work with large, complex datasets, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across the pipeline.
7. Participate in and lead analytic projects from problem definition through analysis to the clear presentation of results.
8. Promote adoption of analytics tools and reporting standards by delivering impactful reports, providing team training, and championing best practices.
9. Demonstrate a strategic mindset, simplifying complexity through innovative and scalable analytics solutions that address evolving business needs.

1. Four or more (4+) years experience in data-driven environments with expert knowledge of SQL and translating complex datasets into clear business insights.
2. Experience designing and creating dashboards for use by Executives and Analysts.
3. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering results quickly for rapid action.
4. Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, consensus-oriented environment.
5. Excellent written, verbal, scientific communication, and time management skills.
6. Data visualization and storytelling skills: ability to turn complex data into clear insights.
7. Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and to design and deploy clear reports.
8. Ability to work cross-functionally to understand and deliver on business needs.
9. English fluency is required.

• Strong track record of learning new tools, technologies, and frameworks.
• Experience with version control tools such as GitHub for collaborative analytics development.

• Looker (including LookML): advanced proficiency in developing dashboards, explores, and custom views.
• DBT (Cloud): experience building and maintaining data models and transformations.
• Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

• Transparent compensation plan: Salary range €47,000 to €59,000 per year, to be discussed during the recruitment process.
