As a Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter (m / f / d) at Kipu Quantum you will play a key role in driving the growth of our company. • Active Sourcing & Outreach: Leverage multiple channels to proactively identify and engage suitable candidates, supporting both operational and technical teams in their hiring efforts.
• Candidate Experience: Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process – from crafting job postings to extending offers – ensuring a professional and positive candidate experience.
• Interview Coordination: Schedule and conduct interviews while maintaining accurate records in our HR software (Personio).
• Talent Pipeline Development: Build and nurture relationships with potential candidates to meet long‑term hiring needs.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key recruiting metrics (e.g. time‑to‑hire, quality‑of‑hire, applicant volume, conversion rates) to continuously optimise the hiring process.
• Employer Branding: Collaborate with the marketing team to strengthen our employer brand, create compelling content and campaigns, and position Kipu Quantum as a top deep‑tech employer.
• Employee Lifecycle Support: Assist the People & Culture team in initiatives across the employee lifecycle, expanding your expertise in People Operations, Employee Development and Employee Retention.

• Completed Bachelor’s degree or apprenticeship in Business Psychology, Natural Sciences or related fields, or equivalent qualifications.
• Initial hands‑on experience in recruiting, ideally in a deep‑tech company or start‑up.
• Interest in deep tech, software development or natural sciences, as you will be recruiting for highly specialised technical roles.
• Ideally experience with HR software such as Personio, Workday or HiBob.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to engaging candidates.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage a high volume of applicants efficiently.
• Hands‑on attitude, willing to take on responsibilities beyond the core role within People & Culture.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English to collaborate effectively with our international team and talent pool.

Kipu Quantum is a German start‑up focused on quantum computing with offices in Karlsruhe and Berlin. We specialise in developing quantum algorithms tailored for specific applications and hardware. Our solutions help various industries—including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, logistics and finance—to tackle complex problems using existing quantum hardware. We aim to make practical quantum computing accessible by significantly reducing the time needed to achieve quantum advantage for real‑world applications.

In December 2023, Kipu Quantum secured €10.5 million in seed funding led by HV Capital and DTCF (DeepTech & Climate Fonds) with participation from Entrada Ventures, Quantonation and First Momentum Ventures. This funding will support the development of our hardware‑specific quantum algorithms and accelerate the commercialization of our quantum solutions.
