Purpose of the role
As a Business Developer Representative, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, profiling prospects, discovering their needs, and driving new business through outbound campaigns. You will help businesses collaborate better, innovate, and move fast. As part of the Business Development team, you will be the first contact for many businesses, engaging them proactively to generate enthusiasm, identify and qualify their needs, and guide them along the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Achieve quarterly SQO (Sales Qualified Opportunity) quotas and meet activity targets
- Manage a portfolio to identify high-potential prospects
- Educate customers about our offerings
- Conduct outbound calls and emails, including cold calling, engaging decision-makers, and assessing needs
- Understand pain points, gather technical requirements, and align solutions with business needs, focusing on cloud solutions
- Maintain customer data in Salesforce, managing leads, contacts, and opportunities
- Work towards KPIs like productivity, conversion rates, and pipeline growth
- Document customer interactions thoroughly in Salesforce for clarity and continuity
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- Native German speaker
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Experience in outbound sales, B2B, or business development, preferably in IT
- Understanding of cloud computing, especially Google Cloud Platform
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect needs with solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and professionalism
- Comfortable working towards quotas in a phone-based environment
- Basic IT skills for efficient computer use
- At least 1 year of IT outbound sales experience with strong sales skills
- Experience with cold calling and managing large accounts
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- Ability to identify decision-makers and stakeholders
- Goal-oriented, proactive, confident, and competitive
- Knowledge of local market and business environment
- Full-time (39h/week, Monday to Friday), permanent contract
- This is a hybrid role based in Barcelona
