We’re seeking a visionary Principal Software Engineer (all genders) to architect and drive the development of our flagship cloud-native AI product. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the product’s technical direction, influencing engineering teams, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, including steering groups within our parent company.

This is a functional leadership role for someone who thrives on ownership, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. The position reports to the Head of Engineering.

• Architectural Leadership: Design and evolve the software architecture of our cloud-native web platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Technical Strategy: Identify and integrate emerging technologies and industry trends into our product roadmap.
• Team Influence: Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, autonomy, and continuous learning.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Customer Engagement: Interface with customers to understand their requirements and feedback, translating insights into actionable engineering tasks.
• Strategic Steering: Represent the engineering team in steering groups with our parent company, contributing to high-level product and technology decisions.
• Innovation Driver: Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement across the product lifecycle.
• Industry Thought Leadership: Stay informed about technical trends in AD/ADAS and AI and analyze their implications for our product.

• Proven experience in software architecture and technical leadership of large engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD, cloud platforms).
• Strong background in frontend and backend web development (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, Java, Python).
• Solid understanding of the automotive domain, especially autonomous driving, robotics, and computer vision.
• Knowledge of autonomous driving scenarios, simulations, and safety is a plus.
