This is a year round position.What perks can you expect?:$19.00 per day (taxable benefit) for housing and meals (based on double occupancy)Refer a friend to the team and earn a $250 referral bonus!Join an inclusive, global team and make life-long connections.Enjoy free access to Pursuit attractions and 50% off for friends.Get discounts on hotel stays, dining, and retail.Access subsidized mental health and wellness resources.What will you do in this job?:Managing the kitchen operations and staff dailyEnsuring a consistently high-quality food product is made while at the same time developing staff through a positive work environmentConsistently improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing revenuesOverseeing all food operations including one a la cart/buffet restaurant, one cafeteria, hotel lounge and staff campProviding a product that differentiates ourselves from our competitorsMaintain product levels not exceeding levels that result in wasteConstantly evaluating the success of our food and beverage program and proactively taking action to capitalize on opportunities for growth in volume or qualityAdherence to financial forecasts and budgets; instrumental in taking steps to assist the division in exceeding Food and Beverage targetsDevelopment and implementation of all seasonal menu launches, food presentation, recipes and food costing of all itemsApprove all kitchen staff schedulesResponsible for the timely management of job task checklists, safety checklists, performance review and performance management.Ensure all employees follow safety, sanitation and security proceduresPlays an active role with Executive Sous Chefs preparing schedules for all food services, tracks and manages kitchen payroll daily in accordance with revenue, forecast and budgetReports to Food and ManagerManages employees regarding the preparation and presentation of all food for restaurants and banquet facilitiesEnsure all recipes are maintained to company standardsTakes all necessary actions to produce food cost and labour cost results that meet or exceed budgeted expectations.Meet weekly with Executive Sous Chefs to confirm BOH schedules are in line with the monthly forecast; ensure daily and weekly checklists are completed; ensure accurate par levels for ordering using approved vendors; ensure proper rotation and par stocks of all foods are being handled.Maintain core standards as developed by F&B Shared ServicesReports to the Jasper Food and Beverage Operations ManagerAdhere to People and Culture standard operating proceduresWhat skills and experience do you need for this job?:Red Seal; CCC will be an assetExtensive culinary skills, including minimum 2-4 years of culinary school; symbolizing excellence in creativity, quality and professionalismMust be -able to work in remote settingEnthusiastic, energetic person capable of carrying out all charges in a very unique environmentMinimum four years well rounded experience in all areas of the Kitchen at an Executive Chef levelAn effective leader, manager, trainer, administrator and team playerExceptional communication and organizational skillsInnovative, detail oriented and quality consciousExcellent oral and written communication skills along with good computer knowledgeProduct and quality obsessed with excellent knowledge in menu engineering and design.What will your work environment be like?:Beautiful.
