The Senior Associate, Business Development is the team’s central liaison across all industries responsible for managing and growing the annual corporate campus recruitment campaign and supporting the delivery of work experience opportunities for both undergraduate and master level students.
Field‑based sales is a critical component of the role in both local, national and international markets. This role is an external‑facing position and requires travel to key markets outside of BC (e.g., Toronto, Calgary, New York).
Reports to the Manager, Business Development. Works closely with other Business Development team members and collaborates with Business Career Centre employees. Interacts with faculty and business development teams of multiple units including Recruitment and Admissions, Development and Alumni Engagement and Professional Growth. Engages externally with local, national and international employers and industry association representatives.
Works under the general direction of the Manager, Business Development with considerable autonomy; results are subject to general review on completion.
May supervise student employees and volunteers as required. Responsible for hiring, training and performance evaluation. Hires and manages contract work performed by outside suppliers and service providers.
