A leading shipbuilding company in North Vancouver seeks an experienced Area Manager to oversee production activities and ensure safety within assigned vessels. The role requires strong leadership and conflict resolution skills, with at least 5 years in shipbuilding and supervisory positions. The position includes responsibilities such as implementing safety plans and managing schedules. Offering competitive pay and excellent benefits, this role is on-site at the Operations Centre.
The Area Manager, Pipe (JSS) works with the Trade Manager (Pipe) and is responsible for managing and directing all production activities within a specific Ship. The position must ensure safety, quality, cost, and schedule alignment of the piping in blocks and zones within the defined area. This position will require daily liaison with Management, Safety, Quality & Accuracy Control, and Trade Personnel.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver, B.C. V7P 2R1.
The estimated salary for this position is $135,000 - $165,000. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful candidate’s skill set and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

This position may involve defense articles and/or technical data regulated by the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the U.S. Arms Export Control Act.
