It’s an exciting time for SEA as we expand our Canadian operations and team. We are currently looking for outstanding people to form the core of our growing team in Ottawa.

As our Senior Project Manager you will manage the design, development, delivery and support of our products in Canada. You will be a key member of the SEA Canada team, working closely with our customers and our teams in Canada and the UK to deliver and support highly engineered naval systems, and build our Canadian business.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead and manage projects of the highest risk and complexity throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Work collaboratively with design authorities, engineering, supply chain and production teams to develop and implement plans to manufacture highly engineered naval systems, transition them into service and support them through life.
  • Support Business Development, including the management of proposals and bids.
The skills you need
  • Deep knowledge of the full range of project management competencies including: financial management; earned value management; risk and opportunity management; and supplier and subcontractor management.
  • Experience of managing the development and delivery of complex products and systems through the full engineering lifecycle, ideally within the Canadian defence environment.
  • Hands‑on experience of working with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project Online, including the ability to use advanced features when necessary.
  • Knowledge of highly engineered naval systems and the maritime domain would be an asset.
  • The ability to work within and lead multi‑functional teams to deliver common goals.
  • An excellent communicator and able to demonstrate both effective change and conflict management with highly developed influencing skills.
  • Project Management Professional Certification would be an asset.
  • Must have, or be able to secure, a Canadian security clearance.
